This website is not intended to, and does not, create any client / lawyer relationship between the user and ABML. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a client. This website does not collect any personal information (other than our ISP knowing your IP address). Please note our privacy policy available in the footer of each web page.
Once we have established that we can help you, we will send you a formal engagement letter which sets out our terms of business, the scope of work we will do for you (as accurately as is possible at the time) and the fees that we will charge you. The NSW Law Society calls this a ‘costs agreement’. Circumstances can change and the scope of the work we do for you may also change – so the actual cost for the work may be higher or lower. If this happens though, we will let you know and work with you to come to an final fixed amount that is acceptable. Our payment terms are 7 days as we are a small business.
There are certain types of law that we do not practice. For example, we do not practice tax law, or engage in litigation – but we do know excellent lawyers that we love working with who can help you, so let us know and we are always happy to refer you.
In general, the work we do will be either legal matters, or compliance assistance. ABML maintains professional indemnity insurance with Law Cover, the NSW legal professional indemnity insurer. Otherwise, ABML’s liability is limited to its assets, and its liability is limited by a scheme approved under the Professional Standards Legislation.
